Every move is a little different, but the shape of it is usually the same. First, you agree the purchase with Brennan — price, unit, and any details specific to your situation. From there, delivery and siting get arranged, which is where the practical work happens: transporting the unit from our showground at Wainhouse Corner to its destination, and positioning it on the plot. Alongside that, your pitch or plot needs to be ready to receive it, and finally the home gets connected to whatever services the site requires.

None of this needs to feel like a mystery. It’s a well-trodden process for us, and Brennan talks you through what applies to your particular unit and destination as part of agreeing the sale.

“Siting” is the term used for getting a static caravan or lodge settled onto its pitch once it’s arrived — in plain terms, positioning the unit correctly on the plot, levelling it properly, and connecting it to whatever services are available and required, such as water, electricity, and waste.

Exactly what’s involved varies from one pitch to the next — ground conditions, the layout of the plot, and what a particular park or landowner requires can all differ. Your park (or, for a private plot, your landowner) will confirm the exact requirements for your pitch, and that detail feeds into how the siting is carried out.

Moving a static caravan or lodge isn’t like a standard delivery — these are large, specific units that need to be handled correctly from the moment they leave the showground to the moment they’re levelled and connected on site. Rather than leaving buyers to find and coordinate their own transport and siting, we work with approved contractors who do this day in, day out.

It means consistency in how the work is carried out, contractors with real experience moving this specific type of unit, and one point of contact throughout — Brennan — rather than you juggling several tradespeople yourself. There are a couple of things worth squaring away with your park or landowner before delivery day, so nothing holds things up:

• Confirm site access and ground conditions with the park or landowner — the route in, and whether the plot is ready to take the unit.
• Confirm what connection requirements apply for your pitch — your park will set out exactly what’s needed for water, electricity, and waste connections where applicable.

Beyond that, Brennan and our contractors handle the rest. If anything is unclear, it’s always worth raising it early — before delivery day, not on it.

How long the whole process takes varies — it depends on the unit itself, the distance to your pitch, and how ready the site is to receive it. A straightforward move to a well-prepared plot close by will naturally come together faster than a longer journey to a site that still needs work.
